LOOKING UP to God for meaning in life;
REACHING OUT across cultural boundaries with the hope of Jesus;
RAISING UP a generation in the way of Jesus;
LIVING AS FAMILY, different though we may be; and
SERVING TOGETHER for the good of others.

Worship – Through worship, we look up to God for meaning in life. It is the way we respond to God’s Word, the Bible, every day, expressing love to God and also to the people around us. Worship is not just music and it’s not just something we do on Sunday. However, we do gather every Sunday for corporate worship, viewing it like a refueling station on the highway of life.

Outreach – Through outreach, we reach out across cultural boundaries with the hope of Jesus. Through personal connections, meeting people right where they’re at, in addition to special events designed to benefit the Downtown community, we seek to connect with individuals and families in our neighborhood and beyond, sharing with them the clear message of God’s grace.

Apprenticeship – Through apprenticeship, we are raising up a generation in the way of Jesus. Through effective programming for children, youth, and adults, we seek to make a life-changing difference in the lives of individuals and families who desire to make a positive difference in the Downtown community and beyond.

Community – In community, we seek to live as family, different though we may be. People from diverse background and walks of life around Portland call our church home and view each other as sisters and brothers in Christ, working together to grow in Christ and to make a positive difference in our city.

Servant-Leadership – Through servant-leadership, we are serving together for the good of others. As a community unafraid to “roll up our sleeves,” we seek to follow the example of Jesus, serving our city with humble hearts and a desire to truly make Portland the best place it can possibly be.
